To Bridget, who cannot cook, but who we love just as she is.
Call me a sap. Whatever bloody thing you’d like to call me, go right ahead.
I, Alisa Smith, like Bridget Jones. A lot actually.
Its just in my blood to be a sucker for movie such as hers, but really, I didn’t know how much I enjoyed them till today. I really want own them both once Edge of Reason is out on DVD. Maybe because this time around the movie was set in my two favorite countries: England (of course) and Thailand. Yes you knew what was going to happen. Its all very the same with all other chick flick story lines. But each women, whatever age, I’m sure can identify with Bridgett in some way. Her character has developed much, even though she still her typical Bridget things, since when we were first introduced to her years ago.
Oh right, maybe its the magic I find in British things. It has been said that Bridget Jones is a very beloved character of the UK. Whether its really true or not, I’m tend to believe it. So there you have it, my guilty pleasure is out in the open. In all honestly it feels good.

I love Bridget! Addicted to her in fact. My favorite line in the new movie? “I think I may have made a mistake inviting you and your folding underpants into my life.” : )
I can see you liking Bridget, Kristen.
When did you start reading my blog?! Thanks for reading by the way.
Can we say I’m star struck?!?!
I like Bridget a lot, too. Partly because of the Jane Austen influences (on the books, especially) and partly because of Colin Firth. Both of which, I think, are good reasons. hehe.
Well, I’m trying to decide if I should blog…but if I do, then everyone will know for a fact that I live the most boring life imaginable. I try to manipulate my way out of the house to hang out at Barnes & Noble or see Bridget again. So I like to read you young people, and see what it’s like to have your life in front of you. I went ice skating today with my kids (used to figure skate) and I have brand new Harlicks (gorgeous, expensive skates) and wouldn’t you know, my monster feet after kids left me in inhumane pain. Not only did I not look remotely graceful any longer, but I felt like Cinderella’s stepsister with the feet-thing going on. : )
And let’s just have a moment of silence for Colin Firth. Shall we?
he he yes a moment of silence indeed.
I still vote for Hugh Grant.
But then, Alisa, we discussed this. At least you figured out why I’m apathetic toward Colin.
