On Our Way To Crazy

I am Brandi. This is my site.

I am a native Texan, born and raised in Dallas. I got married and moved to Nashville (or, as my mom calls it, ‘that God-forsaken place’, which also has the most churches per capita (or something) in the country, so who knows what that means for us) in 2002. I like it here a lot. It’s not melt-your-face-off in the summer (usually) and I love that it gets nice and cold in the winter (but I do not love it when it snows so much (a half-inch) that I can’t drive my car) and we get really, really pretty trees and leaves in the fall.

Apparently I also really like parentheses.

We have one dog, Miles the Wonder Dog, and no kids, because I am afraid of them. Aaron runs a management and marketing company out of our house and I run the youth department at our church. Almost everyone I hang out with is under 18. I don’t know what that says about me.

I started this site randomly one spring with the intention of writing out my deep thoughts and insightful comments on life and politics and faith. I named it Grey Mountain, the mysterious place that is home to the god in C. S. Lewis’ Till We Have Faces. A year and a half later, I faced the facts. This blog is not deep or insightful. It is random and spacey and sometimes funny and lots of times full of stories about my dog. So I changed the name to On Our Way To Crazy, after a song by one of my favorite bands. This makes much more sense to me, and I don’t feel so bad that most of the paragraphs in my posts have nothing to do with the ones before or after them. Random! Fun! On my way to crazy! Woo-hoo!

So there it is. My least favorite part of blogging is trying to figure out how to end a post, and this is no exception. So, I leave you with these pictures of my family.
