Today, murder happened just a few miles from my home. I almost called what happened “senseless violence.” But when is violence not senseless.
Today, someone believed that murder was a solution.
Today, as we celebrated advent, the savior’s birth, death happened instead.
Today, I am scared.
Today, please hold your family closer.
Today, don’t take your friends for granted.
Today, leave nothing unsaid.

Brandy, we’re praying for you & those close to you in the region. Just hearing you talk about some of these incidents - the person who was just feet away and was spared, for example - is just amazing. It’s the “God Factor” in all of this horrible news. We love you & miss you.
My prayers are for you being so close to all of this horror. This time of year we want to only think about whats good, but then something like this reminds use how fragile life is. Makes you want to hold on to what this season is about. How Jesus is going to be with us doing the good and bad in our life. I love you and want to protect you from all this evil that happens, but I trust God will keep you safe for me. Mom
