Open Book Part 1

Kari asks: What is the worst book you ever read?
That’s a tough one, as I’ve read some pretty crappy books in my day. I hated the book Winkie—maybe I just didn’t get it, but I thought it was a royal waste of my time. I kept thinking it would get better, but it never did. I also wasn’t a big fan of The Great Gatsby. It was probably one of my most disappointing reads. It was a classic, so I guess I was expecting more.

Aaron asks: If you got on The Price Is Right, what game would you want to play and why?
Probably Plinko. It just looks so darn fun. Oh, and I’d totally be one of those people who falls on their butt when they spin the wheel. Those people crack me up.

scott asks: if you had the choice between invisibility, ability of flight, or super strength what would you choose?
Flight, definitely. Plane tickets are expensive. I’m too lazy to really get my money’s worth out of super strength, and I sometimes I think I have the gift of invisibility already.

Jon B. asks: Other than the Bible (because that’s just too easy;)) what book has most affected your life?
Great question! I would have to say Too Small to Ignore, by Wess Stafford. I know that sounds like a brown-nosey kind of answer (since Wess Stafford is currently president of the ministry I work for) but it really did change my life. It made me rethink the Christian’s response to poverty and to children. And, it convinced me that I REALLY wanted to work at Compassion, which definitely was a life-changing decision.

Jeff H asks: Why have I not been reading your blog until now?
I have no idea. I feel sorry for you. But now you’ve seen the light.

sarah asks: Do you ever wear thongs? lacey ones?
Only you would ask this. No, I don’t wear thongs. In fact, I’ve never worn one. I really have nothing else to say about them. Sorry, I’m sure you were hoping for more.
