The "mental masturbation" line is the best one.

The Internet allows people to be goofy about all kinds of things because people can more easily find their peers. I'm inclined to compare these folks to numismatists, as it's easy to pigeonhole them with the creepy obsessive archetypes you see portrayed in Dear John Given the social gracelessness you've discussed and seen first-hand, it's an easy comparison.

Were I writing a summation, it would be this: people love beer and want to enjoy it. We get that you enjoy it and are obsessed with it, but your obsession is ruining our ability to enjoy the things we both like. Slow your roll.

This reminds me of my own grandfather's death. I was lying underneath the bed in the room where my brother and I stayed when we visited. I was crying, because my grandfather was the first person who'd ever died that was in any way close to me. I was 11.

Sure as shootin', I heard him tell me to get up off the floor, clean myself up, and be strong for my grandmother. That she'd need me. I looked all around the room for him, believing that he might still be there, but he wasn't. He was, of course, long gone.

So I did what he told me. Of course I did.

Never have told anyone about that before.

For my 60th birthday my nephew bought me a six pack of Two Hearted Ale. I'm a domestic beer drinker and don'y go for a "foo-foo" yuppie beer. Much to my suprise, this is one hell of a good beer. I don't know what an IPA is nor do I care about the type of hops used to make Two Hearted Ale. I like this beer so much that a drove to Bell's Brewery in Kazoo, Michigan (where its made) and bought 6 more.

hello
there is a company called tai cable and wiring solutions out of philadelphia and delaware who specialize in, of course, cable and wiring. i have comcast and direct tv and out of all the technicians that were sent out to my place from BOTH companies, they sent out one tech who was able to combine both systems which has eveything working great. i just felt bad because me and the misses gave him such an ear job, yet the work was good, we apologized, and had him come back to do some wall fishing for the wall plasma.
