i did this…thing. i was calling it a sound collage…i guess that’s mostly what it is. it’s mostly just me experimenting to see what i can do with a bunch of different sounds. it may turn into something more in the future, but for now i’m satisfied. (no i’m not. i just don’t want to get stuck working on one thing in perpetuity. and maybe go with something a little more accessible to other people?) anyway, the idea is kinda to communicate some of what is going on in my head right now. at least with regards to music. i’m not sure how successful it actually is, but i might as well throw it out there.

so the gist of the track is a combination of various clips of music and conversation from within the walls of my bedroom. the “base layer,” i guess, is a smattering of beatles bootlegs i was listening to on youtube. (the idea for the whole thing came from me listening to “revolution 9” from the white album, so that seemed like a cool idea.) now the more i talk about it, the more i want to explain every piece of it, but that would defeat listening to it.

it’s called “today was yesterday tomorrow.”

edit: i definitely went straight away and remixed the thing for another 30 minutes, so…maybe now i’ll quit.
