Science (non) Fiction

Life, science and faith – not necessarily in that order

Quick update

OK, just a quick update to fill you in on what’s going on in my life these days:
- Grandmother (Ruth) is doing better, should be able to leave the hospital sometimes next week they think – moving to nursing care facility for a while before moving back into her apartment
- Work is going fine – we’re getting close to wrapping up the paper I think (finally!), but it will probably take some time to smooth things together coming from two labs – but at least I’ve gotten my last piece of necessary data I think…
- I bought a queen mattress set from a friend getting rid of them for pretty cheap, so I’m on the hunt now for a bed I like (and can afford – beds are expensive!) – but I think I’m going to wait a little and save up before I look too seriously. In the meantime, the mattresses are taking up a great deal of space in my apartment, but I’m dealing with it :)
- I’ve got a busy weekend ahead of me – little time in lab, meeting tonight at a pub to discuss theology over beers (well, I don’t like beer, but others will be drinking beer), driving to Raleigh to see Alexa and Daniel and ARIA (!), and a wedding shower Sunday afternoon for a classmate who’s getting married in April – whew! Should be fun though…
