Science (non) Fiction

Life, science and faith – not necessarily in that order

Come fly with me!

I’m off to the airport for my flight to Orlando – I decided to take my computer on the plane with me (ran out of room in my suitcase to check it  ), so I might be able to check in a bit later! Send a quick prayer up for me, will you? :)

  1. What, afraid of flying? [I mean, that's okay. It's not my favorite thing in the whole wide world, actually. It's worse when you know all the many things that could go wrong with the aircrat and can visualize all the control movements from the plane's motion.]

  2. drea says:

    not helping Geof!!!!

(actually, I’m not afraid to fly – it’s more the maneovering through security and ticket gates and lines and lots of people… though I’m now sitting in the big open lobby at the airport listening to great piano music and surfing the web, so it’s pretty good :) )

  3. Sorry. I’m actually a good person to have around when scared to fly, because I can remind you of all sorts of things, like the fact that, per mile traveled, airlines are unbelievably safer than any other form of travel. Or that aircraft pilots are routinely retired military pilots and, therefore, highly trained. And so on.

    Hope it all went well.
