Science (non) Fiction

Life, science and faith – not necessarily in that order

Sugar and spice and everything nice

I spent the night in Durham this past week with Alexa and Daniel (and baby Aria), so I wouldn’t have to leave Winston so incredibly early to get to the branch meeting in Raleigh the next day. I’ve known Alexa since I was about 11 or 12, and we were involved in a lot of the same activities growing up, including starting a girls ensemble in high school. I was a bridesmaid in their wedding 3 years ago, and they’ve been in the Raleigh area ever since. Their first child, Aria, was born last summer, and let me tell you, she is adorable! I forgot my camera when I stayed with them this week (I’m such a bad pseudo-aunt), but here is a recent picture from Daniel:

She so funny, and she’s starting to use actual words (she can say cat, and Dada, and cup, and several others). And when she wants to go on a walk outside, she tries to get you to put her shoes on, so she’ll turn around right in front of you and plop down in your lap with her shoes so you can put them on her  Oh, and Alexa said she’s not aware that much about what’s on TV, but when they turn on ‘The Office’, she dances around the whole time the theme song is on – how cute is that?!?! And shows good taste too :)
