Why is there a difference?
I know of two “friends” who are in tough situations. Both are 30 and Christians. One has a tumour in her brain and has been mostly in the hospital the last 2 years, she has been through chemo and many surgeries. There was some hope to rid her of her tumour, but the latest news is, that aside from a miracle there is nothing they can do. Yet through all this she still praises God and looks forward to that day when she will be in Heaven.
My other friend has psorisis, and his father died when he was 15. He lacks some social skills, but is really a pretty regular guy. Yet he tends to blame God for his problems, right now he doesn’t want much to do with church or anything Christian related. He has pushed most of his friends away and only socializes with people who really won’t call him on anything he does. SO why is there a difference between these 2 people?
Perhaps it’s understanding where we see our selves in terms of Christ. Can we say to our Creator, we don’t like how we were created or what we have been put through in this life? Perhaps, but ultimately this home here on Earth is so temporary. Is turning our back on God going to change who God is and his faithfulness to us?
I just pray and hope that I can be like my first friend and that any trial that I am put through, I will continue to give glory to God in my life.
