December recap
A had a few ideas for blogposts for the month, but never actually had time to write them out. I know we have advanced quite far in technology, but when will we be able to download thoughts from our brains?
At the beginning of December, I was hoping the crazy weather of November was gone for good. November gave us the most rain we have ever received in a month and the most snow we have received in a month as well. December still had a few more storms to pump through, but for the most part we were largely unaffected, many other people were left out in the dark for a while though.
There was one sunny day back on Novmeber 28 when I took this picture
Then we got into Christmas mode, just as the snow was melting away. I have a pet peeve when it comes to Christmas cards. We received many christmas cards that didn’t have anthing written to us specifically. Basically said to Eric and family, Merry Christmas, From ______. I like to see people put some thought into sending us a card or why bother.
The main rason I didn’t have much time was the fact that I was working on the annual DVD adventures of our family. It seems daunting every year to take on this project and many hours later it finally gets done. I still have a bit morte to go, but the majority is done, for which I am relieved.
Santa was good to me I received a new DX lens for my Nikon and also a flash. My wife upgraded my GPSr, for which I am happy about as well. I’ve tested out all the new equipment and it’s working great.
I also got some new clothes so I don’t have to wear the same old ones all the time.
So now it’s time to spend the last few days of the year at our cabin in the mountains and maybe get some skiing in there as well.
And then 2007 will be upon us!
