I was sitting here just now pillaging my brain for those great ideas that I had when I was jogging the other day, but it seems I left them two streets over. So, instead of the profound and insightful I give you the profoundly absurd and unfinshed nonesense that is this poem.
Cedric Deets was three men tall
He lived by a hill on the beach
He ate all the fruit three men could want
For not one branch was out of his reach.
He drank from a cup that was five cups deep
And when others would come to call
They’d drink and drink ‘til they floated home
But Cedric Deets out-drank them all
One day a man nearly four men wide
Stopped by for a drink and chat
And when he left there was nothing more
Of the chair in the place where the wide man sat
Every day for six in a row
The wide man came to meet
And one by one the man took down
Every chair in the house of Cedric Deets
I like it. It’s amusing.
