compulsive compartmentalization

Captured thoughts…on exhibit in the zoo that is the blog-o-sphere.

There is no such thing on earth as an uninteresting subject; the only thing that can exist is an uninterested person. - G.K. Chesterton

There has been a request for me to post pictures of my high school ROTC self. I may. After all, how can I not after 59 comments…of course they were mostly by two people…three counting myself…but whatever. First I have to find the one’s I’m looking for. If I’m posting them, I get to pick them…and I don’t know where they are right now.

In addition to my old high school, I also subbed at my old middle school. It was the first time I’d been there in….15 years. The first thing that struck me was that the halls were MUCH shorter and the ceilings MUCH lower than I remember. I must have been pretty short in middle school. Part of the reason I always got picked on I guess.

For the most part it was uneventful…well, after the fight in my class, but it wasn’t a good fight. I mean, no punches…really, who’s teaching these kids to fight these days?

  1. well…

aren’t you supposed to be their teacher?

“stick and move…stick and move…that’s the school bell, not the fight bell…nothin’s OVAH!”

and you can even provide diagrams of improbably-muscled athletes executing the fight moves…

(i think you’ve found your “niche.”)
