I ran 6 miles yesterday in the glorious warm sun. Everyone always seems so surprised at the odd juxtaposition the weather here in NC brings. Every year we can’t believe it was one day 30 degrees and the next 70. How many years do you have to live here before you start believing it?
I believe it, for the record.
Anyway, 6 miles. In the sun. No freezing wind. No ice. It was a glorious moment in the course of the marathon training. I wasn’t angry with nature blasting me with frigid opposition.
This week I need to try and get my miles up to around 20, and my long run at 8 again. I should be able to pull it off.
Especially if the weather keeps cooperating.
