More information and blogging to come, but for now I will hastily introduce my new Etsy shop!
Many more items are on their way! Here’s to new beginnings. Slainte!

What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy dogs tails
That’s what little boys are made of!
My amazing, talented, intelligent, and (more than) slightly mischievous boy turns four today! I could not be more proud of Liam, although I would really really appreciate it if he’d get a move on with the potty training issue. Come on, dude.
Ahem. I digress.
As I’m told most little boys do, Liam enjoys banging on things and making up songs, so of course for his birthday he is getting a small drumset. The perfect gift for a four year old, and the perfect way to ensure that my migraines never go away! (See? See how moms sacrifice for their children?)
The drums are all set up in the living room, waiting for Liam to get up from his nap and pound away joyfully on them.
What have I done?
Happy Birthday to my sweet boy! I love you, Liam Michael.

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”
- Pericles
Life is brand new and terrifying. With each step I am further away from where I’ve been, but closer to being true to myself.
I hope I am on my way to happiness.
I hope I am doing right by my children.
I hope my son and my daughter grow up knowing who they truly are, and who they want to become.
I hope the way my story weaves through the lives of others leaves the world a better place, and not a harsher one.

My sweet little girl turns a year old today! I love you my Maevie… hope you enjoy growing up with me as your Momma. I promise to let you date… someday.

Slouch slouch slouch.
This is the best Monday ever! After working lots of overtime last week and not seeing my children at ALL (I swear Liam knows 50 more words now than he did last week) I asked my supervisor if I could use a floating holiday to stay home today. REQUEST APPROVED! So here I am, in all my unshowered glory, drinking tea and explaining to Liam that he can sit on my lap AFTER I finish my writing and NO you may not put your fingers in my tea and YES I know you have hair and a nose and a belly button.
Love him.
No commentsFYI – Girdle Update #3
Important announcement! It’s 3pm, and I’ve had it with the girdle. There’s some discomfort, and also some chafing.
Damn you, Phish Food… damn you.
No commentsHappy Birthday, Liam.
It’s officially January 19, 2008. My boy is 2 years old today.
His Auntie Kelly recently asked him, “Liam, why are you so cute?” His answer: “Da Momma is cute!”
I love you, my monkey, my boy. Happy Birthday.

When did I upgrade from Momma?
Liam, walking into the kitchen where I am cooking, with two crackers in his hands: “I have two crackers!”
Me: “Yes, you do. Good counting.”
Liam studies the crackers. After a moment, looks up and asks: “Honey, do you want a bite?”

Success! Today I earned a wink from a male who was touring our office building.
AND I WASN’T EVEN WEARING A GIRDLE.
Nope, just good ol’ control top panty hose.
Panty hose: 1
Girdle: 0
