I don’t want to speak for everyone, but I know that for me, when it comes to buying something, the packaging can make or break the deal. If the packaging is ugly I probably won’t buy the item even if I really need it. Alternately, if the packaging is cute and fun and catches my [...]

Moving forward

I’ve been putting in a lot of effort these last few weeks to live a healthier lifestyle. While it’s true that I spend much of my time chasing children around, I haven’t had a regular workout routine in years. Like… nine years. That’s too many years. Oy.
SO! Last week I joined Curves and have worked [...]

“There is always another Tuesday.”

My mother bought this book, Tuesday by David Wiesner, as a birthday gift for Liam. The unique thing about this childrens book is that there is no dialogue or narration, only vibrant pictures allowing the reader to imagine what is going on for himself without direction from the author’s words. Liam’s interest was piqued instantly.

Snips and snails, and puppy dogs tails
That’s what little boys are made of!
My amazing, talented, intelligent, and (more than) slightly mischievous boy turns four today! I could not be more proud of Liam, although I would really really appreciate it if he’d get a move on with the potty training [...]

Happenings

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”
- Pericles

Life is brand new and terrifying. With each step I am further away from where I’ve been, but closer to being true to myself.
I hope I am on my way to happiness.
I hope [...]

This is the best Monday ever! After working lots of overtime last week and not seeing my children at ALL (I swear Liam knows 50 more words now than he did last week) I asked my supervisor if I could use a floating holiday to stay home today. REQUEST APPROVED! So here [...]
