Wishing for Snow

Oh for a snowday to sit and get caught up on reading Vinyar Tengwar and Parma Eldalamberon!

Or maybe some calligraphy… Greek? Hebrew? Ogham? Tengwar? Too many paths to tread, too little time. I’ve got to find a way to interweave all my interests. Maybe if I do my Hebrew translation work transliterated with tengwar instead of Roman letters. Hmmm. What other ways could I multitask? This could be fun. I could practice OT textual criticism techniques with variants of LOTR (oh wait, this has already been done by someone else, but definitely worth your time to read). Or Hermeneutics with manuscripts in HoME (what DID he really mean?). Or compare Ancient Near East narratives like the “Baal Cycle” or “Enki and the Ordering of the World” with “The Ainulindalë.”

Oh the possibilities! Now, if we could only get the Café to serve lembas.
