Ah, yes the joy of falling snow. Only time will tell exactly how much rejoicing there will be!

I wonder if our dear Dr. Longman will be able to depart from the East to head home to CA this weekend or if he will have to enjoy our snowstorm for a bit. Perhaps the inundation of snow is fair return to him for the inundation of Deuteronomistic History reading we were assigned.

And snow is falling in Philly. I am practicing my shoveling technique. My son is practicing the guitar. And I think I just heard him mutter "Thank you Lord."

Karyn,

I apologize. I have had my head stuck in books all week and forgot to make it cold. I promise that it will be colder next week. As for Montana, I have kept it on the warm side, which should give Master Aegidius more time to fish before I make it cold later this month.

The request went out for the assistance of super hero Sam Boyd.
Within hours, a winter weather watch was issued: High winds with up to 2 feet of snow. Travel advisory in effect.

24 hours later: scattered rain showers.

Has Sam Boyd been defeated????????

Yikes, I know it's been unseasonally warm in Philly, but I didn't know that I was the (direct or indirect) cause. Been sitting here in Sydney, celebrating family milestones and (mostly) grading (yes, the grades are in and the papers and exams will find their way back to you next week). I've even taken a holiday from reading blogs. But little did I know that my presence here -- or absence there -- was having such a meteorological impact. Fear not. In just a few hours, I leave for the States. No doubt cooler weather will come with me.

Jake, I thought you lived in Montana? I thought they always had snow and cold and animals to kill.

What is the world coming to?

This was more than a little scary. Sam promises my wife on her blog that he will make it snow the next day. The next day, it snows for the first time all month. This is more than a little scary.
