Yes- The year of the dog.
My wife and I received a beautiful printed-cloth calendar from our local Chinese Restaurant. It was presented to us with much pride an d when we opened it we saw cross the top in bold red letters:
“YOU ARE A DOG”
If so, our friends could be in much worse company.
