Here we go!!

Friday, April 7th, 2006

Hannah’s water broke early this morning and we are hoping to have a baby sometime today. You know it’s a third baby when you wake up at 3:30 AM and your water breaks and you tell everyone “Let’s see if we can sleep for a few more hours.” Pray for her and the baby as [...]

BW6: The Danby Twin-tub Washer

Thursday, April 6th, 2006

Yesterday (BW5) Éva and I went out and played in the snow. We also had the entire living room covered with some sort of “apartment” constructed out of blocks, riding toys, every dress-up garment in the house, and her baby doll crib. Hannah made little paper dolls of the family (including me!) for her to [...]

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

Woke up this morning to a winter wonderland. It’s still coming down pretty hard. Since I took the photos we have even more accumulation and big fluffy flakes are falling fast. Day Three in Maine. We had a nice warm spring day today. Perfect for a walk, or playing in the mud (Éva’s favorite thing) or… a controlled burn (semi-controlled?) of the lower fields and the gardens. Apparently it is a Walden tradition (not Hannah and Philip, more like Grampy, and Philip’s aunt and uncle and [...]

Baby Watch: Day Two

Sunday, April 2nd, 2006

Today we all worshiped at Hannah and Philip’s church (The Church of the Open Bible) before Mark headed back to Philadelphia. Too windy to be outside today, so we stayed indoors for the afternoon. It is supposed to be nice tomorrow (in the low 50s, so much for snow!).
We set up a study area [...]

Baby Watch: Day One

Saturday, April 1st, 2006

We have arrived in Maine after driving through the night. We did take a break to stop and shop at 3:30 in the morning at L.L. Bean.
Hannah told me that it was now Spring in Maine and that I should leave my snowpants at home. So I did. Stupid me. It’s forecasted to snow every [...]
