Also, for those who care, we now own the 5-6 player expansion pack for Settlers of Catan, so we need people to come down here and play with us, much like Kimbell did this past weekend.

Boeing has decided to end Connexions, their in-flight broadband access. We actually had a chance to try it out on part of our return trip from India last summer. It was a nice little perk in economy, and we got 6+ hours of access with our 2 batteries. If they kept it around, we’d probably buy it for our trips to/from Asia as well. Maybe they’ll come up with something new. Or start putting in AC outlets in all classes. THAT would be nice.

Speaking of perks, has anyone out there tried those rental DVDs in the airport? You can just get the DVD and play it on your computer, or rent a portable DVD unit as well.

I’m on my first call of my intern year (yeah, they burned my no-call month right up front), and it’s been pretty decent. Except for the 7 codes in 3 hours. There are still 12+ hours to go.

Although we haven’t been to all that many churches, I think we have found a nice match in City of Refuge. Unfortunately, between the two of us, our schedules haven’t been great, and so we haven’t made it to too many places together. We’ve been to City of Refuge a few times over the past few months since we knew where we’d be since March, and we’ve generally had good experiences there. The preaching has been solid, the people seem genuinely friendly and excited about the church and the things the church is doing in the community. It helps to have a few friends there as well, including one of our groomsmen and his family.

So for now, I think it’s where we’ll be. Kathleen and I are both excited about the possibilities there. We’ve even made some new friends that are already involved in a ministry with the local medical community, which interests us both.
