Unbelievable
Leave it to a county hospital to spend 10s of 1000s of dollars renovating the parking garage, only to make it less efficient and more of a hassle to get in and out of.

No, this is not an instruction manual about undoing your pack rat tendencies. I actually need help in trying to figure out what to do with my non-functional 7-year-old 19″ CRT. The local computer/office places don’t say much on their websites, and it’s too late to call them. Any help over the next few days would be greatly appreciated.

I love that my wife wants to make sure everyone gets great care, no matter who they are.

We’re both just about 2/3 of the way through our intern years, and we’re making it. There have been good months and bad months, nice patients, mean patients, crazy patients, sad patients. I still remember the one wife who called me to let me know her husband had finally passed away, and the one patient who was getting high while in the hospital (I have no idea where he got the drugs). I still remember the first time I walked into the CV ICU and realized that I was in WAY over my head and had NO clue as to the first thing to do for those patients.
We’ve also made some wonderful friends since we’ve started, and we are so thankful for the times that we’ve had to hang out with them, be it over food, a baseball game, a movie or a concert. We do miss many of our old friends from medical school, but God willing, some of them might join us in a few short months (that means you, Eric!).
As a side note, it appears that the Anglican church is probably getting close the point of no return or passed it already. Courtesy of Yahoo! News:
Seven conservative Anglican leaders refused Friday to take Holy Communion with the head of the U.S. branch of the church, who supports ordaining gays and blessing same-sex unions, as the fellowship struggles to avert a split.
If you attribute any importance to the Eucharist, this is a big thing. I don’t understand how the US Episcopal Church doesn’t see this for what it is. The conservatives are trying to send a message. Their departure from Scripture IS serious enough to refuse partaking of the Eucharist with people who are openly and actively acting in sin, and they’re making sure everyone knows.
