Today Erik is 23 years old. I’m hoping it’s a good day for him. Once again, happy birthday sweetie.
This week has already come and gone without too much fuss. I have had my ups and downs, but for the most part I have had a fun time learning how to be a wife. I’ve lived away from home before, but never life this. College was different.
I remember the first time I packed up my room, and left, my parents’ house was still home. I would always come back and my room would still be mine. That is all different now, though.
I can go back to that room, but it’s not mine anymore, it’s the guest bedroom. I can go back as a guest, but I can never live there again. Well enough with the stuff I miss now I must talk about the stuff that I love about this place.
I have my own apartment now, a place that I can set up the way I like it. I have the kitchen filled with all of my dishes. I have my stuff and everything that is mine is now also Erik’s. Since that is what a marriage is a partnership, filled with love and respect.
I love Erik and that is never going to change. I love waking up in his arms. I love sitting on the couch with him and watching tv. I love getting him something to drink when he’s thirsty and something to eat when he’s hungry. I love looking into his eyes and knowing that everything is going to be alright. I love thinking about our future. I know that I’ll never leave him. I’m blessed to be with such a nice guy.
I’m a married person now. I know I can’t believe it but my wedding has come and gone without too much fuss. It was a beautiful wedding. I don’t know how much time I’ll get to be updating since being married is going to keep me busy. I have an apartment now and it is a lot of work.
My wedding was everything I’d ever dreamed of and more. And I get to be married to the most wonderful guy in the world.
