So, I had some guy come knocking on my door today and when I answered the door, he asked, “Is your mom or dad home?”
It made me laugh. I’m 27 years old and obviously still look like a child. Oh well, when I’m 50 maybe I will look 20 still. (He wanted to sell me steaks.)
I don’t have a computer anymore. Well, I have a computer, but it is broken and so I can’t get internet access, because for some reason it can’t sense that it has a D:/ drive and many other problems. It is sad, but maybe it is God’s way of telling me to give up the internet.
(I’m at my mom’s house right now on her computer because I really needed to pay my bills.) I hope that I don’t have to give up the internet for good. That would be sad. It is the way I keep in touch with many of my friends and make new friends and have a community. I do miss checking the board.
I have been home for almost 2 weeks and I am so happy to be home. I had a great time, but coming home is always nice. And I realize all of the things that I love about America (and the things I don’t).
I love the freedom that comes with having a car and being able to hop in the car, roll down the windows, turn on the radio and drive! And I love to garden. I am not sure how well my garden will work, since I planted it so late, but I’m hoping for some fruit from my labor. There is just something amazing about planting and tending to something and seeing it grow and being able to eat the fresh food from my garden. And I love to plant flowers, too.
My friends have been away since I’ve been home, and my sister is not coming home this summer, so I’ve had a lot of time to work in the garden. But my friends are arriving home this week. And tomorrow I get to go to the river with one of them, so that’s fun.
And I’m totally rambling, but life is good! That’s all.
My name is Rhonda. I am blessed to live in a beautiful place out in the country with my wonderful husband. In addition to our "real" jobs (I work at a garden center and he is a teacher), we have a small farm where we raise vegetables, eggs and chickens to sell at local Farmer's Markets. We are currently fixing up/remodeling a house into which we will soon be moving...hopefully. In my free time, (what is that?) I enjoy traveling, cooking, crafty projects, reading and watching the sun set on the hills.
I am glad that you are home, and I hope you’ll be able to get that computer working soon.
I was starting to get worried about you… Im glad you made it home ok.. we miss you!
I want to hear about your trip.. so hurry up and get that computer fixed!
Glad to know you made it home safely. Just go get a hammer to fix your computer, and if that doesn’t work, get a bigger hammer.
Get your computer fixed FAST!
Glad you are home!!
I’m glad your computer is fixed.
Of course, I’m the only one to comment on the garden aspect of your post, but I’m SO JEALOUS. haha. I am dying to plant at least something in planter boxes, but I can’t let myself spend the money on that just yet. Anyways, I understand, and if I were there I would come silently garden alongside you.
My friends probably get tired of hearing how much I want a garden…
dang, and i’m an idiot. I meant to say “I’m glad you got home safely and I hope you are able to get your computer fixed.
I guess I was fixated on gardening.
