A house with daffodils in it is a house lit up, whether or not the sun be shining outside!
I know I’ve blogged about this before and probably even used the same quotes. But it’s that time of year again. Daffodils have begun to bloom.
I really enjoy seeing the flowers in their natural environment. But it has been pouring rain and VERY windy the last few nights. So, I had to rescue these poor flowers. They were all knocked down and lying on the ground. And I love to have the fragrance and the beauty of their loveliness fill my house.
I picked huge bunches. This is only some of them:

My name is Rhonda. I am blessed to live in a beautiful place out in the country with my wonderful husband. In addition to our "real" jobs (I work at a garden center and he is a teacher), we have a small farm where we raise vegetables, eggs and chickens to sell at local Farmer's Markets. We are currently fixing up/remodeling a house into which we will soon be moving...hopefully. In my free time, (what is that?) I enjoy traveling, cooking, crafty projects, reading and watching the sun set on the hills.
Aw Rhonda! Those are wonderful! Bet it makes your house so much more homey with lovely flowers everywhere.
So, daffodils bloom a lot earlier in California than they do here. Wow.
Well, yes, they do bloom earlier…and I am at a relatively low elevation. But these are also a very early blooming variety. There are varieties that bloom much later.
Do you know how many more months of snow I have to look forward to? *sigh*
