Happy 2nd B-Day

Posted by: richard   in Dinner Conversation

Last night we were doing some grocery shopping, and as we were checking out we saw some friends, Kyle and Toni. Geneva sees them and yells out, “Toni! Toni!”. It was pretty funny. We corrected her, and she was using proper respect when talking to them by the time we parted.

Later in the evening I was at the computer, and she came walking up to me with a picture of a turtle, saying “Richard! Richard, look!”. I said to her, “You call me Daddy”. She says, “Richard. Look.” and points at the turtle. I tell her again to call me Daddy. I think she got it that time. And then she proceded to tell me that the turtle is a frog.

Today is her birthday. She’s two. And so I’ll rip some words of Randall Goodgame right completely out of context, and give ‘em to her..

All I want to do is love you
And whereever you fall I want to be
I want to be there to lift you
All I want to do is love you
And where you are
I want to be there with you

I was listening to some Jim Jordan lectures recently. A Theocratic Critique of Theonomy. Worth listening to, but my favorite part is almost entirely unconnected to the main topic.

He said something along the lines of, “Can you believe that after two thousand years there are actually still some people that aren’t postmillennial?”
