I while back I read someone’s blog, where they were encouraging anyone/everyone to learn a particular chant in the Cantus Christi. I don’t remember who it was, and I don’t remember which chant it was. But does this ring a bell to anyone else, and can you point me to that post?

I am not proud to say that I now know what traffic court is like in two states. Yesterday I went to West Virginia to contest an ‘improper turn’ violation I received back in January. I allegedly made a change in direction in an intersection where a curve in the road was less than 500 feet away, which blocked the view of appoaching vehicles. Case dismissed, I won!

That being the case, it was a pretty fun experience. Traffic court in Virginia is quite a bit different… it was much more like an actual trial yesterday. There was a prosectuor there, and she called a witness. I was given the opportunity to cross examine him. Then I was sworn in for my testimony, and the prosecuting attorney was asked if she had any questions for me when I finished. It was like Law & Order!

If you happen to live in Putnam county, WV, go ahead and vote for Kim Blair for Magistrate. She seemed to me to be a good judge.

The VA traffic violation was last year when I flipped my car over… I was cited with reckless driving. That was dropped to a much more minor offense, and I think probably would have been completely dismissed had I not brought up the lesser offense (improper driving) myself. Oh well.
