In Wendesday, March 12, 1997 Douglas Wilson said,
If you want to strike at the heart of unbelief, then strike at the heart of unbelief with the weapon that God gave us to strike at the heart of unbelief. And that is the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus Christ in accordance with the Scripture. That is the gospel. That’s not the response to the gospel, as I said in an earlier talk, the gospel is not asking Jesus into your heart. That’s not the gospel. The gospel is objective. It’s what God did, in history, outside Jerusalem, to save His people from their sins.
The ball was really fun. We ended up dancing about the same as before… but this time because we had our little bumpkins with us. Megan was off with Fiona for a couple of dances, and I was with Ashleypoo for one. But, it was a great time. Very fun, and I didn’t cut my thumb open.
Saturday we had an adventure. My brother sent us a Dillard’s giftcard for Christmas, and there are no Dillard’s in Lynchburg. So we went up to Richmond, visited the mall, spent all our moolah, and then went to the Stewart’s place. Kristen fed us quite well, and gave us a delicious dessert that I’m afraid I cannot spell. But it had strawberries on it, and was very good. G & A had ice cream and strawberries, as did A’s shirt. Yum.
