Megan: Little bugs.

Megan: Probably leaves, too.
Geneva: Or, they could eat other little bugs. OR! They could eat sausage! Little sausages!

I posted last week about this, and got a comment yesterday that sort of brought it back into my mind.
Today I saw this article about the whole ordeal.

I think it’s funny that the commenter on my blog, and James Randi, the attempted buyer-outer, both say that isn’t what was going on. It’s obvious that’s exactly what he was doing… trying to get the Smithsonian Institute to take his money and not play the Intelligent Design film. He didn’t even want them to play something else…

What a joker.

Does anyone know of a list of all the changes in the dvd release of the original star wars trilogy?

I borrowed them from a friend and have started watching A New Hope.

What I said about Anakin not falling far enough, and never measuring up to his description in the originals still holds up, however, I don’t pin as much of it on Obi-wan’s dialogue in his house with Luke. After seeing it again, I think his description is pretty accurate, if only focusing on the good side of Anakin.

I noticed what I think is a dvd addition when Luke and Obi-wan are at the blasted up sandcrawler… there is a big chunk of metal laying on the ground that was obviously added in digitally. I don’t remember it from the special edition, so I’m guessing its a dvd thing. Which is really weird… it doesn’t do anything for the story or the film… it’s just a place to muck with the original, and I think it’s stupid.

I’m about half way through the movie now, and I haven’t really noticed anything else different from the special editions. But I think they should have redone some of the SE computer animations… like Mos Eisley. Or the stormtroopers riding around on dewbacks. It just looks bad.

Oh, they did redo Jabba. That looks a lot better than the SE Jabba. But I still don’t think it’s the greatest addition to the film.
