Great review! Short and sweet.

I’m looking forward to reading the updated paperback version coming out in the fall with HBP insights. (Though I STILL don’t think Granger’s right when he believes Snape is a vampire.)

I just wish Nixon would be consistent in pronouncing Rowling’s name. I’m pretty sure it’s with a long “o,” but he switched back and forth throughout…but that only irritated me slightly. (Besides, Gaines’ll tell you there are many words I can’t pronounce if I’ve only read it in print and never heard it read aloud.)

Good stuff! Thanks for the tip-off, Richard!

Rowling came right out and said it… Snape isn’t a vampire. Or a half-vampire as Granger insists. There’s reason to suspect it, but she shot it out of the water in her interview on HBP release day.

I agree with the pronunciation… I think maybe he didn’t know how it was really supposed to be pronounced. It seems like the more natural times he says it with the long ‘o’, to rhyme with bowling. Which is the right way to say it, I think, too. But maybe somebody told him it was the other way, so he was trying to use that… I don’t know.

I was glad to see it though… and Granger was on the white horse inn back in June. If the two groups can agree on nothing else, at least Harry Potter brings them together! Harry Potter: Instigating Church unity. :)
