Ah, well… I’m an Idiot
So, when I landed at RDU after my trip to Houston, I went to the parking garage to get my car. I went to Level 2. I went to Row H. My car wasn’t there. I walked up and down the aisle, and my car was no where to be seen. I looked around to see if the row was broken up and continued somewhere else. I didn’t see Row H anywhere else.
So I walked around looking for a person that worked there. Noone to be found. So I went back into the terminal and called Megan. She wasn’t around to answer, so I just left a message that my car wasn’t where I parked it, and I’d call her back to let her know what was up. I also called the number on the back of my ticket. The guy answered and said someone would meet me at the terminal. He did, and we drove to the parking garage, and he asked me where I parked, and then went there. Level 2. Row H. And there was my car.
So I’m stupid, and admitted as much to the guy. I asked him how I could have gotten mixed up, and he tried to explain, but I was too embarassed and perplexed to follow him. Finally I just said it didn’t matter, and left.
So… I really am an Idiot.

If it’s anything like the last airport parking deck I was in, the silly thing changes “levels” half-way up the slope. Freaked me out, too, but I happened to look all the way around, knowing my propensity to get confused or generally misremember things like that, and saw that while on my left – the downward side – was level five, uphill to the right was level six. Whatever.
Wow. I wasn’t there, so I can’t be sure, but I’m inclined to believe that you are an idiot.
There’s no doubt about it, Mike.
And… I can’t chalk it up to that, Kelly (not that it would make me any less of an idiot even if that were the case, since I didn’t figure it out and actually called the people about my missing car). The level’s were accessed by stairs or elevators for pedestrians, and a spiral road for cars. The levels themselves were parallel with the ground, not angled going up.
