So, tonight at the dinner table I started throwing out some names in case this baby is a girl. We are terrible about coming up with girl names. I think we choose good ones, but it really takes us a while to get to them. So anyhow… we were brainstorming.
Geneva said she wanted to name her Lucy. And, upon hearing this, Ashley says, “I think we should name her Tumnus!”
I love it. It is, without a doubt, one of the books most worth reading in all the world. Yep, I said it.
But… I’m afraid my annual Christmastime reading is going to cease. True, it’s only the third or fourth year I’ve been on the schedule. You may be tempted to call me a slacker, a quitter. But this past time it just didn’t give me the great delight that such a delightful book ought to. And I refuse to dishonor the book in such a way again. I think I will put it on a biannual schedule now. December 2007, I will, again, enter into the glory of Psmith.
And in the meantime, I’ve been wanting to give The Luck of the Bodkins a reread.
I’ve got three Doug Wilson books on my currently reading list right now. I better be careful… people will think I’m crazy.
