On Psmith
I love it. It is, without a doubt, one of the books most worth reading in all the world. Yep, I said it.
But… I’m afraid my annual Christmastime reading is going to cease. True, it’s only the third or fourth year I’ve been on the schedule. You may be tempted to call me a slacker, a quitter. But this past time it just didn’t give me the great delight that such a delightful book ought to. And I refuse to dishonor the book in such a way again. I think I will put it on a biannual schedule now. December 2007, I will, again, enter into the glory of Psmith.
And in the meantime, I’ve been wanting to give The Luck of the Bodkins a reread.

You should read Heavy Weather instead.
That is what your wife decrees.
My wife already got to decree a book for me to read. Plus, I want to read some of the Jeeves stuff that we already own and I haven’t yet read. But… it will be awhile anyhow.
I got a Jeeves anthology (well, a three-book mini-anthology) for Christmas that I’m looking forward to reading.
Weird. I put “Wodehouse expert” as my name…but it says “richard”. We will see what happens now…
let’s see…
