A New Law
Derek Webb
Don’t teach me about politics and government
Just tell me who to vote for
Don’t teach me about truth and beauty
Just label my music
Don’t teach me how to live like a free man
Just give me a new law
I don’t wanna know if the answers aren’t easy
So just bring it down from the mountain to me
I want a new law
I want a new law
Gimme that new law
Don’t teach me about moderation and liberty
I prefer a shot of grape juice
Don’t teach me about loving my enemies
don’t teach me how to listen to the Spirit
just give me a new law
I don’t wanna know if the answers aren’t easy
So just bring it down from the mountain to me
I want a new law
I want a new law
Gimme that new law
‘Cause what’s the use in trading a law you can never keep
For one you can that cannot get you anything
Do not be afraid
Do not be afraid
Do not be afraid

I assume that this download link is to a bootleg, right?
Say what? This song and I Hate Everything (But You) are my two favorites on the new album.
Well, I took the link off, and now I look very suspicious. I post a link, you comment, and then the link disappears.
But, in truth, I didn’t see your comment until just now, and I removed the link moments after the initial post. So I didn’t remove it because you said something. And it was to a bootleg copy.
But… I am paranoid, so I took down the link. There’s one person in particular that I wanted to download it, but I’ll just email them the link.
Please, Before I Go has stealthily snuck right into my favorite spot on this album.
Heh, it’s okay. Pointing links to bootlegs is more than fine!
