Shameful Joy

James White leaps for joy over a church firing a neo-orthodox high school Sunday school teacher. The teacher refused to teach that the Bible was “perfect and infallible”.

I have no problem with this guy losing his job, and, in fact, am thankful for a church maintaining purity.

However, White’s flippant celebration is over the top. How can he be so gleeful?

I agree about the glee….but this is James White, what did you expect?

However, I’d want more definition of what this church means by requiring its teachers to view the Bible as “perfect” and “infallible” before I’d pat them on the back.

Maybe it’s just because this guy ran to Spong for help, but I have the same gut reaction as White after reading that letter.
