Mi iPod est broked

Posted by: richard   in Everyday Things

So, Megan went for a run last week while it was raining, and, because I said she should despite her concern that the rain would damage it, she took the iPod. Well, it worked the while she was out, and then sat on the desk until the next morning when I tried to use it. And the buttons didn’t work.

I tried plugging it into the wall to reset it, restoring the software, and also opening the case and letting it air out for a day or so… all the no avail. It appears to be dead. Presently, it is stuck at the language selection menu.

Ifixit is a company run by christian folks that sells all sorts of Apple parts, including iPod parts. I can get a new faceplate for $40… but I don’t know if that will fix my problem. What do you think? Is it worth the chance of throwing away $40?

I tend to think not.

[...] So, last I posted on here (I believe), my iPod was broken, and I didn’t quite know what to do. [...]
