Ron Paul 2008 - Hope for America

Today, Ron Paul has received over four and three quarter million dollars. And it’s only 8:30. 44,284 individuals have given money to his campaign today. That’s nearly ten thousand more individuals, and nearly a million dollars more than his last record breaking ‘money bomb’ on Nov 5th. And it’s only 8:30.

Price Protectr

Posted by: richard   in Everyday Things

In case you hadn’t heard about it, Price Protectr is a nice little tool. They have a list of retailers they support, and when you make a purchase from these retailers, you enter the item in the site with the price you paid and the date, alone with your email address. Then it keeps track of price changes, and notifies you if it goes down.

The list of retailers, of course, all have a price protection plan, and will refund the difference if the price goes down during that period. The length of protection is dependent on retailers, but is usually between two weeks and a month.

The only problem I can see with the site is the annoying lack of an ‘o’ in Protector. Web 2.0 and all that rot.

Origin of Christmas

   Posted by: richard   in Doctrine

According to this article, it doesn’t have anything to do with pagan celebrations (and the pagans actually tried to hop on the shirt tails of the Christians), but rather the consensus that Christ was conceived on March 25 (the Feast of Annunciation)… and nine months later equals December 25.

Pushing Daisies

Posted by: richard   in Everyday Things

It’s been posted before, but, man, what a fantastic show. It’s really, really fun. It’s quirky, but an endearing quirky that you can really get into. And Jim Dale (of Harry Potter fame) does the narration, which is one of my favorite parts of the show.

Plus, any show that references C.H.U.D. has to be the best show ever.

Thanksgiving Football

Posted by: richard   in Everyday Things

Unfortunately, I was out of town for Thanksgiving so I didn’t get to play, but some folks from church got together for Football last Thursday morning. I guess a news guy happened upon them, and behold.
