A Whole New World
Well, let’s see, how do I introduce myself to a new world of blogging. Several days ago I began a blog on blogger.com and I figured that I like it ok so why not start one on RMFO-blogs. So here I am. I suppose I’ll take some of what I’ve said on that account and post it here.
I guess I should do a bit of introducing to start out this new blog so I’ll begin with myself:
My name is Sarah and I’m a freshman at Covenant College on Lookout Mountain in Georgia. I am studying English with a concentration in Theatre and I am minoring in Art. My goal in being here at Covenant is to recieve a solid, Christian education while making long-lasting relationships with those around me. It has been a great first year, but I’m left with some questions about what my future will be(go figure). I am struggling with my goals as a student because here at Covenant my education will not be as specifically catered to my needs as a future job holder in a specific field. Does that make sense? See, there are other schools that could more specifically train me to be a certain worker (my most recent dreams: a videographer, media producer etc). My big decision lies, not in what I want to do, but what are my goals in attending college?
So there you have it. Some of the activities and organizations I am involved in now range from sports to radio. I joined an intermural sports team at the beginning of the year called the Lawnmowers and have played indoor soccer, volleyball, and outdoor soccer. I also play ultimate frisbee every once-in-a-while. I am also very involved in music here on campus playing percussion in the orchestra and leading worship every once-in-a-while with my djembe along with occasional busking. One of my favorite organizations that I came upon this year is the Radio Station! It was completely the will of God that I became involved in the station, and I am so thankful for it!…(more on that later).
As far as my background, I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri my whole life and attended Christian schooling from Kindergarten to Senior year of high school. I have two wonderful parents, an older sister, Heather, a younger sister, Joanna, and a younger brother, Philip. Oh! My and my family tried to replace me this year (j/k) with a foreign student, Ji Hee. She is from Korea and has only been in the States for less than 2 years. She is attending the school that my dad teaches at and my younger siblings attend. I also have one black cat- Bear. Yeah, I know, why the heck did we name our cat, Bear? It’s a long story that I just don’t wanna have to explain.
So there’s a summary of my life and you’ll hear more about it later!
