what a week. it started off so slow and then now all of a sudden its friday night. awesome. too bad i got guilted into going to work tomorrow. me and being nice, i need to not do that sometimes. but hey, i was going to N.O. anyway to meet up with a friend, but i just don’t like the idea of having to go to work on a saturday. tonight i hung out with 4 people i’ve known for a while and had not seen in a while. two married couples, and it doesn’t make me feel old to know that i knew all of them before they got married. it was fun, and i’m going to see them all next weekend, so that’s cool.

alright, today i got my new cds that i had ordered including my first two eisley cds. seriously, people, check them out. their full length debut comes out next month, incidentally the same day as the miami vice season 1 dvds. go figure, i don’t know if that’s a good omen or not for eisley, i think it would be. how can it not be?

cool.

where do you start when you have like 8 things on your mind? alright, so the last couple of days have been good. i know i owe a more in depth entry, there’s been so much i want to talk about but i’m pretty tired right now and i am going to bed. i have been trying to figure out who to send money to help tsunami victims. today i read an article that broke my heart, check it out. the dalits are the lowest caste in india. caedmons call did their last cd, ’share the well’, and it was culled from their experiences on overseas trips to india, south america, etc. anyway, they talked about the dalits and how they really have it bad off. and now this tsunami, and then reading that article about how they are STILL being treated that way. so i’ve made it a point to donate to the dalit freedom network. i know the money will go to help the dalits. anyway, that’s what i’m doing, and i feel good about that.

aight, so sorry for the lack of updates. been pretty busy. the intern at work was living with me between semesters since he was only working 3 weeks. it was pretty cool, i learned a lot about my car from him. now that he’s gone life is getting back to normal. i’ll update soon with the past two weeks of stuff. i don’t know where to start right now. lots going through my mind lately. we’ll see where that leads later.

i first heard about the darkness after seeing a video on mtv2 and i seriously thought it was a spinal tap type band. i have come to find out they are a legit band. i think they’re pretty good because they are so outlandish and the music rocks.

speaking of rock, i saw jeremy camp saturday night and i must say i was very impressed. i’m bringing his cds to work to listen to them. and next time i drive the carpool, i’m using them as the music. andy drove last week, and one day on the way home we listened to seether. man, what depressing music. i’m glad i have alternatives.

i finally saw napoleon dynamite the other night. it was okay. funnier than i thought only because i was expecting it to suck.

okay, so this past week has been busy. i worked three days then have been off the last two. i’m glad i have an entire weekend ahead of me. i think work will be improving now that the first tank got shipped and it seems we are tying loose ends up for a meeting during the third week of january. last night i hung out with my friend ryan, who’s leaving today to go to florida to do umpire training. yeah, like a real major league umpire. we went to chili’s, then back to my place to play burnout 3 (most fun game i’ve played in a long time) and then at midnight, we watched the belair fireworks show. that’s the unofficial title, and based off of all the people around my house shooting off fireworks. it was awesome. totally free fireworks display and i didn’t have to drive to new orleans to see it.
