so i didn’t get to do as much work in the flower beds as i’d like. i heard i was on a committee at church, and today i got an hour and a half notice that we had our first meeting today. awesome. so that threw off my whole afternoon. next weekend i should have two good full days to work, so its cool. i need to go buy more dirt, i figure i could get one bag of dirt for each plant, and i have like 15. so i need to go get more. incidentally, when i went to walmart friday, i walked up to the garden area door and the greeter guy says “welcome to walmart”. i said “thanks. so do i go out and get the dirt and bring it in to be checked out (it was in the parking lot)?” he said yes, so i took a cart and got 6 bags. i pushed the cart back in and when i passed the guy, i said “hey, i got it” and he says “welcome to walmart”. it was kinda cute, the guy must be pushing 80, so i let it slide that it seemed like he didn’t recognize me from 5 minutes before.

i played xbox with this kid earlier tonight. i was playing espn nba 2k5, and the kid i was playing with cheated me i think. when you sign on, you already have a team selected, so when people go to challenge you, you can see what team they are playing. not this kid, i challenged him and he changes teams on me. not a big deal, but then the game starts and he gets a 19-2 lead. i’m not a bad player either, so i think he was using some cheat or something. anyway, i make a comeback, and then he starts trash talking to me. then every shot i’d make, he’d drop an f-bomb or another four letter word. then the connection was really kind of crappy, so the game would freeze up, and in the 4th quarter, the game gave me the option of quitting because the connection got so bad. i was so mad at the kid for making me watch replays of his good plays and just generally being a jerk, i quit. not before he blamed me for the problem. yeah, right. anyway, the kid couldn’t have been over 14. i really feel sorry for him, i mean, he acted like a complete jackass and he’s not even old enough to drive. ah well.
