today i bought a saints jersey. a year ago at this time, i was pretty much done with the saints. i couldn’t stand them playing bad, i didn’t like the owner, and all the talk of them moving, well, i figured, good riddance. then something happened….they had a crazy great offseason, people got excited, and i went to the monday night game. before today i had no saints clothing, at least none that fit me and was from more recent than 1993. i’m proud of the saints, and it feels awesome. it’s so bad, that i scheduled my flight tomorrow to north carolina early enough to arrive in time to watch the saints game tomorrow. getting up at 3:15 am to catch a 6:10 am flight in order to watch an nfl game….what is wrong with me?

in other news….mute math’s album finally got released nationwide, so that’s cool. i’m going to north carolina for a week, which means i’ll be there for the clemson/wake game next saturday. i’ll be going to that. and then the week i get back i’ll be going to at least two, maybe three concerts. all that after a september where i spent 3 weekends out of town. i did get to offer my number to a grammy winner though, so that was a first.

no, its not the name of that caedmons album where you thought ‘maybe this time…’. its the title of my blog entry about the saints game last night. yes, yours truly attended the saints/falcons game last night and watched from the cheap seats as the saints came home and destroyed the falcons. my buddy ryan called me during the day yesterday and told me he had a friend who had an extra ticket that he was looking to give away for free. i told him i’d take it. then began the odyssey of figuring out how i was going to get down there. i was stuck in a class until at least 4. chad had driven, so we took off at 4:15. i met jacob and his boss in mandeville at 5:30, and we left for the game. we get there in plenty of time to see green day play longer than u2. wtf?

the game was unbelievable. i’m not sure if i’m able to put into words how much the game meant. the cheap seats meant some really cool fans were in our section. they were $14 face season tickets, come on now. anyway, i was yelling so loud, i gave myself a headache. i couldn’t even hear myself yell even though i knew i was yelling. watching the video of the game today gave me chills. i was very fortunate to be able to go. it’s something i’ll remember for a long time. then i was able to get 3.5 hours of sleep and power through work today. i’m going to bed now.

i’ll type later this week to summarize the shows i’ve seen and my travels of the past month. tonight i had last night on the brain.
