i’ve done a ton of travelling lately. it’s been really nice though, i like going to different places, seeing different people, doing things i can’t do around here. let’s see if i can provide a good recap….
first i went to tallahassee to go to the clemson/fsu game with my friend chris. how awesome was that game, eh? we also met up with a couple of other clemson friends, one expectedly and one not. we were thankful for the free tailgating food right before we went in the stadium. before we made it there, we had hit up a bar where the most interesting thing was a guy with a tattoo of the seminole logo with a gator in the jaw. fancy! it was a great weekend, and only punctuated when we got to sing the alma mater being victorious and watching the nole fans hang their heads in defeat as they walked out. and i took some pictures.
the next weekend, well, it was a monday, but still, i went to the saints game. i blogged about that and how amazing and incredible that was.
the next weekend i left and went up to north carolina for work. the cool part was i went by myself instead of five other people like last time, so i was able to eat where i wanted instead of the same mexican place 3 times in one week. plus i was able to stay the following weekend with a couple of really awesome friends and hit up the clemson/wake game thanks to my friendandrea who’s in grad school at wake. incidentally, i also met two of her friends, who i owe gratitude for giving me a ticket. the game was a miraculous come back for my tigers and they pulled it out by 10. it was cold, wet, and miserable for three quarters, and i wanted to leave, but i stayed and saw a comeback i will not forget for a long time. for the 2nd straight game i attended, i was able to sing the alma mater as the dejected fans of the opposing team walked past us. plus i was able to hang out with my friend alisa and gain a new perspective on our friendship. very cool. and i took some pictures.
monday night i went to baton rouge to see family force 5. it was the third time seeing them in the past year, and it was awesome once again. and i took some pictures.
today at work, i noticed some odd activity. the guy that sits next to me is known for having candy at his desk, that he pretty much lets people eat whenever since he’s gone from his desk a lot. one older guy comes around in the afternoons usually and gets candy, makes some kind of small talk comment to me and leaves. today he came by and sat down at the desk, dug through the guy’s drawer for his favorite candy, then left. as he was leaving he said “learning anything?” to me i guess as some kind of joke. totally bizarre, and i hope i don’t turn into that kind of mooch later in life. actually, i hope i’m retired by the time i’m that guy’s age. i did not take pictures.
