I voted early since I live in Nashville. The lines here are crazy, especially if your work schedule has you in the office for most of the voting hours. IMHO, I think the presidential election day should be on a Saturday or everyone have that Tuesday off. We should place more importance on this day. Love your blog, btw.

I voted absentee and LOVED it. I had to study all day, so I didn't want to wait > 1 hour in a line like my wife did. Medical students can vote absentee in SC for "helping the sick." It looks like I'll be doing this for a while now because I'm supposed to be on duty almost every day hopefully starting in July, even holidays.

I did not wear red on Tuesday or Wednesday, however. I did get teary-eyed several times, however. We watched the speeches online on Mel's laptop in bed - pretty neat experience.

I don't like the idea of voting early either. I love Election Day. I live and work in the same very small down so there was no line. I wore red shoes on Tuesday. And I were all blue on Wednesday. HA! I didn't get a sticker either. Do they sell buttons that we can reuse from year to year. Maybe I should have worn my " I like Ike" sun glasses. HA!

I early voted because of my travel schedule. . . but missed the feeling of voting alongside the rest of the country. and I dorkily fell asleep watching the returns. :)
