Oh yeah…

I forgot. Since Valentine’s Day was…well, recent, I thought I’d upload these scans of a valentine my papaw showed me, that his dad sent him when he was only 17 months old (That’d be February 1920). Click on the “more” to see em. Read the rest of this entry »

I’ve said it…A lot of people have said it. Internet Explorer sucks! Okay? Seriously.

Firefox, on the other hand…is very nice.

What a weekend

Well, folks, it’s been quite a weekend. I went to see Miracle Friday and came away amazed. What a great film. Saturday was the Andrew Peterson concert, and the meeting of the .netters…they’re all mad at me for not hanging out or talking that much…for which I am sorry, but it was a long day. Anyway, the concert was great. Andy P did not disappoint. Yesterday I had church, and as usual I was going to stay all afternoon with my other youth group friends and jam. Well, that didn’t happen. A big whoppin snow came, church was cancelled for the night (our church is up on a hill…hard to access in a snow, especially one following a rain), and I came home. Then, I procrastinated on my homework…because, well, that’s what I do. Woke up around 10:30 this morning (gotta love 4-day weekends) and had some leftovers…and here I am. Man, I’m tired…and I still have to write an essay and do some accounting homework.

Life is exciting.

All I ever seem to chase…

The Chasing Song by Andrew Peterson
from Carried Along

Now and then these feet just take to wandering
Now and then I prop them up at home
Sometimes I think about the consequences
Sometimes I don’t

Well, I realize that falling down ain’t graceful
But I thank the Lord that falling’s full of grace
Sometimes I take my eyes off Jesus
And you know that’s all it takes

Well, I wish that I could say that at the close of every day
I was happy with the way that I’m behaving

‘Cause Job, he chased an answer
The wise men chased the Child
Jacob chased her fourteen years to capture Rachel’s smile
And Moses chased the Promised Land
Joseph chased a dream
David, he chased God’s own heart
All I ever seem to chase is me

Well, they say the race can only have one winner
And you know you’ve got to pull out front to win
God knows the only time I’m winning
Is when I’m chasing Him

So, I wish that I could say that at the close of every day
I was happy with the way that I’m behaving

‘Cause Samson chased a woman
And he chased the Philistines
I’m not quite sure what Jonah chased
But I know he caught the sea
And Cain, he chased the harvest
While Abel chased the beasts
David, he chased God’s own heart
All I ever seem to chase is me

And Jesus chased the money men
And He chased His Father’s will
He chased my sin to Calvary
And He caught it on that hill
And Saul, he chased the Christians
Til his blindness made him see
David, he chased God’s own heart
All I ever seem to chase is me

Design Tweaking

I’m still working on the look of this place. I think I’ve got the name cemented, but I wanted the design to be more me…so that’s what I’ve been working on. If you’re curious about the image in the header, it’s a photo I took of my deck, which I then squeezed down and used the “Cutout” filter on Photoshop to give it that “wicked cool” look.

IE is the devil

Okay, so if you are using Internet Explorer, then my links menu and all that whatnot to the right doesn’t appear until the end of the site…at the bottom of all my posts. I don’t know why, but I do know that it’s because Internet Explorer sucks.

So get Firefox, and that will solve all your problems, yo.

RSS feeds

Okay, so I’ve been hearing about this forever now…but I’d never taken initiative to get a program, or to even really check out this world of RSS syndication, until yesterday. I figure, if Geof held it in such high regard…I should check this schtuff out.

And I must say…

I am fwiggin’ hooked.

Four day weekend!

In other news, I have a four day weekend! No school tomorrow or Monday…that is fantastic. Saturday night I’m going to a concert at New City Cafe to see Andy Peterson, and I am uber-psyched.

What’s so great about a little concert, you ask?

Well, FIRST of all, Andrew Peterson rocks my face right off.

Plus, at this concert I will be meeting several of the people from the online community I call home (rmfo.net)…and THAT is exciting.
