So today I found (maybe, anyway) some success in the job hunt. A new Ruby Tuesday has been built about 3 miles from my house, right off the interstate, and they are hiring waiters. They’ve got health benefits…and there’s tips involved. Heck friggity yes. So I talked to the manager today and picked up an application. I will turn my application in in the next couple of days, and if he’s there, he said he will probably go ahead and interview me. Si.
I’m making plans to start blogging more again, and making proper use of this corner of the Internet. I feel I haven’t been doing this place justice with my lack of postage. Sorry for those of you who actually care. I’ll try to do better, I promise.
Thursday my dad is leaving for the great state…er…country, of Malaysia. He’s going on a mission trip with five other men from the Grainger County Association. So if you read this before, or during their trip (They’ll be gone from June 2nd til the 14th), then please pray for their safety and the trip in general.
Until next time…

So it’s been an eventful summer since I last posted. Okay, not really.
Here’s a rundown of what I’ve done
- Got a haircut – I shaved my head, did a 3 guard all over with my beard trimmer randomly after my shower one day. Pics forthcoming
- Become addicted to the TV show Lost – Didn’t watch the show while I was still at Buffalo, then since we’ve left I’ve gotten completely hooked on it. All of the storylines, all of the characters, the cliffhangers. It’s easily the best show on television. The season finale last week was interesting. I’ll probably post more about it, and my theories, later.
- Went on a job-hunt – This resulted in nothing but me spending money on stuff and NOT coming away with gainful employment
So that’s been my summer so far. Yes, I know. It’s been jam-packed with stuff. I’m missing the CN kids like nothing. I MIGHT just go crazy if I don’t get to see or talk to some of them soon. I think my favorite part of being back here at home though is, well…two things. High-Speed Cable Internet, and my queen-size bed. I forgot how amazingly comfortable my bed here at home is.
I’ve found a new artist to obsess over, a guy named Joe Purdy. I found him through a song of his that was played on the third episode of Lost. The song is titled “Wash Away.”
Amazing song. I picked up Joe’s album Julie Blue, and have listened to it over and over again this past week. Great summertime chill music.

So my time, at least for now, as a Carson-Newman student is over.
Now is a time for new beginnings.
I’ll miss all of you Eagles.
But I’ll still be hangin out.
Fo sho.

‘”So say goodbye ’cause you’ll be leaving soon
I know its’s hard, and I’ll be missing you
I know its time to say goodbye
I know the road, has worn you down
You never broke, you always held your ground
But now its time to say goodbye
And I know we’ll meet again, but I wish It’d never end
You don’t mean to make me cry
But it’s so hard to say goodbye
Say goodbye
Say goodbye
And though you’re gone I remember now
The time we shared, you’re words still ring out
You’re never far, you’re in my heart
And I know we’ll meet again, but I wish It’d never end
You don’t mean to make me cry
But it’s so hard to say goodbye
Someday we’ll meet again ’cause thats how the story ends
Its so hard to say goodbye
Say goodbye”

Someone I care about very much is hurting right now.
And there’s nothing I can do about it.
And this bothers me.
