There’s a big old goofy guy, dancing with a big old goofy girl…

…ooh baby, It’s a big old goofy world” – John Prine

So, you could probably ask how I’m doing. But wait…noone ever reads this. I forget. Anyway, life’s moving, as always. I’ve been changing things up at The Rube recently. They started training me in the kitchen (re: I cook now), so now I’m trained to do anything in the restaurant other than bar and salad bar. How bout that? In fact, I guess I’m pretty good at this cooking thing, because yesterday I was called and asked if I would like to cook full time. I don’t know if I want to or not. The money would be more consistant…but it’d be less on some days. I’d be making less an hour…but I’d be working more hours, so the money would kind of balance out. I don’t know. I’m still thinking about it.

I saw John Prine in concert last Friday (see song lyric in title and beginning of post). I’d only heard a couple of his songs, but Brady, a buddy of mine from the church praise band is obsessed with him, and asked me to come along. Let me see, I fell in love with this old guy…I don’t know how the heck old he is, but he’s making music for 40+ years, and still going strong. Won a grammy this year, in fact. Check Mr. Prine out.

Oh, and here are a few things I’m excited about:

The Benchwarmers
Nacho Libre
Lady In The Water
Advancement – the new Micah Dalton release

There are some other things…but these are the biggest right now
