I am at ease in the arms of a woman…

There’s something about the music of Amos Lee that just calms me down. No matter what mood I’m in, I just put on “Arms Of A Woman.” or “Keep It Loose, Keep It Tight,” or “Dreamin’” and man…I’m good. I just got home from a long night at The Rube, one of the first in what feels like forever. The church had VBS (or Vacation Bible School to those not versed in church culture…if you want to know what that is, ask..and I’ll explain) this past week, so I’ve done a whole lot of not working so I can do other work. I was the “Gathering” leader, which meant I led all of the music. So…I may be singing like the Veggie Tales guys for the next few weeks, and to anyone that hears me singing in the shower…I apologize. Anyway…I’m mostly typing this to type it, and try to give my loyal readers something to…read. All me of you. Okay, I’m not sure if anyone actually reads this…at all, but that’s okay. Ah….in the time that I’ve been away from this place, I’ve got myself an Ipod, just so you know. I dig it a lot. In other words, the earbuds are pretty much attached to my earlobes. It’s sick, really. I get to go to SuperWow in two weeks or so, which I must say I’m pretty flippin’ excited about. Anyone that knows me knows that SuperWow was the highlight of my summer (and maybe my whole year) for my entire high school career, and last summer was the first time I missed it in the 2000s…

And in a couple of weeks I’ll be going as a chaperone of sorts, with a totally different group of people than I’ve ever been with before. There probably won’t be any pranks this time around, but that’s okay. I think I may be growing up. I know…you’re shocked.

A week from Tuesday the Passion 06 DVD releases, AS WELL AS David Crowder’s B Collision, a release of acoustic versions of all the songs from MY favorite album of last year, A Collision.

Yay.

Until next time…
