A friend of mine was listening to Phil's sermons and was wondering where he went. Thanks for the information. I miss his wonderful sermons myself.

I went on a mission trip to Australia with Glen Hoburg in 1989. He and a handful of others were part of an outreach band they called "100%". They played everywhere - schools, especially. And they were really good. Glen moved from Pittsburgh to Nashville right after we got home to try his luck in the CCM scene. He ended up at that big church where all the CCM artists go, and took over the youth group so Kevin Twit could tour with Dave Mullen. I ran into Kevin at Creation the next summer and introduced myself. It was kind fun to sorta "know" someone.

I'll add another great pastor to your list: Marty Fields at Westminster EPC in Laurel MS. I don't think they have their sermons online, but he did a recording of his apologetics talks for American Vision when he worked for them in 2000. He was our pastor (PCA) and church planter in Savannah GA from 95 - 99. He went to RTS Orlando with Tre' Smith.

We're thrilled you're here, Tim, but Lynchburg's really not *that* strange, is it? (Little, yes; strange... no stranger than most) Not being a native of "the Burg" either, I see it's quirks and craziness, but we love it here. I hope you come to love it, too. And yes, I've discovered and am reading your blog. ;-)
